Tamworth
has a magnificent swan herd consisting of around 200 birds these birds usually frequent
the stretch of river from Bolebridge down to the Moat House. They
are used to being fed by the public at the rear of the Moat House and can often be seen
wandering around on the grass and the footpath that runs along the river there.
Although the birds can be fed with scraps of bread they can be a little intimidating to small children and even some adults when they eagerly rush up to see what you have for them.
